Transformer oil coolers

The Coiltech transformer oil coolers are used for cooling power transformers by means of forced air and oil flow. They are of OFAF type (Oil forced, Air forced) and are delivered as fully factory-assembled units. The coolers are available in a number of sizes, with or without inserts, to improve heat transfer.

The coolers consist of a casing with a finned tube heat exchanger, including one to four fans per unit. The interior of the heat exchangers is cleaned carefully by oil flushing. The cooler is designed to withstand vibrations, shocks, seismic forces and thermal movements.

The heat exchangers have removable headers made of anti-corrosion coated steel. The finned coil body is normally made of aluminium, making it highly resistant to corrosion. As an option the, the coil body is also available in copper or electro tinned copper. The continuous arrangements of the coil fins as well as the wide fin pitch provide a good resistance to clogging.
